Whenever I am called for IT services one of the first things I ask myself is, “Can this service be done remotely?” Or, if it’s a computer repair such as virus removal, I might ask, “Can I take this and bring it back?” There are many reasons I do this. For one, it saves our clients in time. When I’m onsite, time is based on when I walk through the door to when I leave. When I’m working remotely, the time is based on the actual work I perform. In some cases, for example, if I run processes that may be time consuming, I would minimized the window and may not figure that into the total time. If I take a computer for repair, I can run many more checks, because I’m not waiting. I try to be as efficient and thorough as possible, always.
